It’s been a wild few weeks for Nine Inch Nails leader Trent Reznor.

The often gloomy industrial rock star played the final NIN show in September and shocked fans further as new (and photos) emerged indicating that he got married on Saturday.

Although he committed Twitter suicide over the summer, deleting his account after declaring that “idiots rule” the online social network, Reznor apparently took a break from his honeymoon to reactivate his Twitter account in honor of the 20th anniversary of NIN’s breakthrough album, Pretty Hate Machine.

Wrote Reznor: “Happy birthday, old friend. Pretty Hate Machine turns 20.”

The album spawned enduring hits and brought industrial rock to the masses with tracks like “Head  Like a Hole,” (video) “Down in It” and “Terrible Lie,” but as RollingStone.com points out, it’s a nice coincidence that the album also features a song called, “Ringfinger.” (Although, lyrically, it’s probably not the sweetest wedding song around…)

If Reznor’s new bride wasn’t kinda ticked that he was off Twittering only a few days after the wedding, she is indeed a keeper.
