Adam Lambert was clearly attempting to start a controversy with his racy performance on the American Music Awards over the weekend, and it seems that his mission was accomplished.

Although, the only truly offensive thing about Lambert’s AMA shenanigans was the fact that he doesn’t have to vocal talent to justify his over-the-top antics, it seems that the folks at family-friendly TV show Good Morning America aren’t going to invite the American Idol runner-up over for tea anytime soon.

Lambert had been scheduled to appear on the show November 25, but after the fallout and complaints about his sexually explicit performance on the AMAs, GMA has decided that his act might not be appropriate for a morning audience.

We appreciate this, because as we flip on the TV to catch a weather report in the morning while munching on some Count Chocula, we’d rather not be greeted by Lambert’s horrible singing-regardless of whether he’s making out with his male back-up dancers between choruses or not.

On a related note, Yahoo! reports that CBS has booked Adam for the Early Show on Wednesday, November 25 when he will perform live and discuss his recent controversial American Music Awards performance.

They say the performance is “live,” but we bet the station is smart enough to use a delay this time.

Tell us what you think: Is it fair for TV shows to boycott Lambert?

Is Lambert pretty much just getting what he wanted: Controversy and Publicity?

Of course !!! He’s clearly NOT Sesame Street material. Don’t know about his vocal chords though. Maybe the tripping on the stairs & the nervousness about taking a hugh risk contributed to his off-notes. He’s normally got a good control over his range of notes.

who gives a rat’s ass about his sexuality but if he thinks he’s going to come out on stage and give a lousy performance because his antics and proving a point are more important than vocally nailing a song, then his career is over. We already have too many mediocre singers out there. He became distracted with the hype and fell on his ass… need I say more.
