Joe Hardy just celebrated his 84th birthday with the help of Christina Aguilera and Bette Midler. Hardy’s 84th birthday was not only a tribute to his 84-years of life but also to his company “84 Lumber.” With approximately 500 guests in attendance, it’s no surprise that the entertainment was A-List all the way.
Although many celebrities performed (including Robin Williams), Aguilera and Midler were two performances not to be forgotten. Bette Midler performed some of her all time crowd pleasers such as “The Rose” and “Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy.” Christina performed her staple song, “Beautiful” as well as a Marilyn-Monroesque rendition of Happy Birthday.
According to some reports Christina was paid $1.5 million dollars to perform. If this is true, it would rival a sum paid to George Michael for performing at a Russian Billionaire’s birthday in the not-so-distant past.

Ugh. Bette Midler? I mean, I know she can sing, but seriously. She's like Barbara Streisand only chubbier. Oh, and I can't believe Anna Nicole Smith wasn't invited.
