Beyonce and Jay Z Wedding Plans Pictures Music and More
April 3rd, 2008 by KarenThey’ve been reluctant to speak about their relationship, but music superstars Beyonce Knowles and Shawn “Jay Z” Carter have been an item since 2002.
As happens with many celebrity couples, the pair has been plagued by wedding rumors since they first began dating.
Now, it seems the rumors are true.
People.com reports that the high-profile duo was spotted applying for a marriage license in Scarsdale, NY. That means the pair will likely tie the knot soon, because NY marriage licenses are only valid for 60 days after being issued.
Perhaps the couple are trying to avoid the spotlight by getting married somewhere outside of New York City (in order to be married in NYC, the license must be issued there).
Regardless of the location, the wedding is sure to cause a media frenzy. Maybe they should’ve just exchanged vows at the courthouse when they applied for the license? Oh well.

Of course, we’re taking this all with a grain of salt, considering the fact that the story was originally published on April 1. Maybe the couple is just playing an April Fool’s Day joke on the media?
