Ok, so the judges actually said something like “the Idol contestant with the lowest number of votes is [insert loser's name here],” but, really, the point was clear.

This week, the 12 lucky contestants (and this season, for the most part, we do mean lucky, rather than talented) that made it to the top of the American Idol Season 9 showcase started being picked off.
The first big elimination of the season came after Tuesday night’s unfortunate round of Rolling Stones cover songs, most of which were almost bad enough to turn us into Beatles fans…almost.
