Guilty Lil Wayne Faces Jail Time for Guns, Drugs

Until recently, Grammy-winning rapper Lil Wayne, 27, was on top of the world with critical praise and massive fan support surrounding his recent efforts, and buzz building around the delayed release of his anticipated rock album, Rebirth, now set to hit stores in December.

However, following a court date in New York on Thursday, things for the artist born Dwayne Carter have turned sour.

Although he had previously pleaded not guilty to gun charges, this morning the rapper entered a guilty plea on an attempted weapon possession charge.

Newly unemployed/retired Nine Inch Nails leader/Twitter instigator Trent Reznor tied the knot over the weekend.

Spinner reports that Reznor and bride Mariqueen Maandig got married on Saturday, October 17.

Although Reznor committed Twitter suicide over the summer after declaring that “idiots rule” the online social network, his bandmates made no such retreat, as evidenced by NIN’s Danny Lohner’s choice to tweet a photo of Reznor and his bride dancing at the reception.

WATCH: Falcon Heene, Balloon Boy, Music Video Uncovered

Because this story just keeps getting stranger, 6-year-old Falcon Heene, the kid who may or may not be adrift in a homemade balloon floating over Colorado, has already had a brush with fame-courtesy of WifeSwap and a strange music video.

It’s like an elementary school version of the Beastie Boys.

If they find this kid, he’s going to be a star…

Of course, the low-budget TV gig and music video might also mean that Heene has stage parents with Hollywood ambitions and that this is all a homemade publicity stunt.Stay tuned…

UPDATE: Turns out the Heene parents, who are storm chasers, have appeared on WifeSwap not once, but twice. It also looks like we’re not the only ones who think this might’ve all been a big hoax. (The missing boy was found to be hiding in his family’s garage, he has reportedly said his dad told him they were doing it “for a show.”)

If, for some strange reason, you’d like to date 25-year-old pop-snot Avril Lavigne, good news: She’s getting a divorce

The singer has cited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for her split from hubby/Sum 41 pop-punk Deryck Whibley. (Who? Exactly. Think Good Charlotte, but somehow more annoying.)

On the plus side, the Canadian mall-punk power couple called it off before they had a chance to have a baby with a dumber name than the spawn of Ashlee Simpson (lip-syncher) and Pete Wentz (Fall Out Boy).

Loudmouthed British rapper, Lady Sovereign has been arrested in Brisbane, Australia on charges of spitting at a doorman, NME reports (details at NME).
