Chinese Democracy Downloads November 23 Free Guns’n’Roses music downloads
October 10th, 2008 by KarenHey! Remember back in March when Dr. Pepper announced that if Guns’n’Roses would release Chinese Democracy in 2008 the company would give a free can of Dr. Pepper to everyone in America (well, except the ex-members of G’n’R)? (You can re-read that article, here.)
Well, where’s my soda pop?! According to MSN and Billboard Magazine, Chinese Democracy will hit stores November 23.
The band (aka singer Axl Rose and his hired hands) has gone through countless line-up changes during the recording of the album. The troubled history of the album, and endlessly delayed completion, has helped the project live up to its oxymoronic title.
Songs from the album—over a decade in the making—have frequently been leaked on the internet over the past few months. However, the November 23 release (a Best Buy exclusive) marks the official debut of the troubled album. Songs from the album will also appear in the music-themed video game Rock band 2 and the soundtrack to the Leonardo DiCaprio/Russell Crowe snoozer, Body of Lies.
Mmm…rock’n’roll…yum.
