Chris Brown Apologizes to Rihanna…Sort of.

After keeping silent in the week following his alleged attack on girlfriend Rihanna, r&b star Chris Brown finally spoke out on the incident, the day after Valentine’s Day.

Yahoo and E! Online report that Brown issued a statement saying that he, “cannot begin to express how sorry and saddened I am over what transpired.”

Not exactly heartfelt, is it?

Brown’s limp mea culpa reads less like a genuine apology and more like a publicist penned legal mad lib (“Dear ____, I’m sorry for _____.”) Brown’s statement went on to say that statements allegedly posted by him on MySpace and Facebook were bogus.

While we understand that he probably has to issue robotic statements like this for legal reasons, this lukewarm apology is simply adding insult to injury.

Some apparently misguided stars have spoken out in support of Brown, including hip-hop star T.I. and actor Terrence Howard (who was reportedly accused of charges related to domestic violence in 2001). However, both apologized for their statements on Brown’s behalf, claiming that they didn’t know the details of the situation when they were asked to make comments about the young singer.

For her part, Rihanna is still keeping a low profile following the incident, although reports indicate that she briefly returned home to Barbados to recover.

Is Chris Brown sorry about what happened?
Or sorry he hurt his career?

I think that Chris Brown is a punk. Biting man come on. i know a woman can get up upset but to act in such away is an indication of you imaturity and inablity to have a rrealationship. I think that people need to not look at the fame but rather the essance of the person. I have never liked Chris brown

listen women do things to men all the time and just because they are women they get the “aww baby are you alright” treatment damn i don’t see anyone looking at Chris brown brusies saying that …o!!!! thats right cause he a man. i’m not condoning what he did all im saying is that the boy is human and maybe he was pushed to his limits and he made a stupid choice.people need to stop acting as if celebs aren’t human and they don’t do dumb things everyday like you and i. Just becasue they are celebs donsent mean that theat people should point the finger. We can ooooo an ahhhh but when its over no finger pointing cause most of the people who are pointing have done far worst things. The only reason they are pointing is because they have done something and got busted it for it and it feels good to point the blame somewhere else.

If the man did the crime then ok do the time but sometimes, the things peoples consider crimes are B.S. i like rihanna i dont have a problem with her but i find it real funny that she can sit on kanye west’s lap and he can hold her waist like the grand poobah, but that’s his little sister.I i’m sorry i have 3 sisters and two of them are little and i never held them like that nor let anyone of my sisters sit on my lap in a skin tight mini dress….but its his sister ok man that class 1 grade A, B.S.Chris you should never bet a woman with your’s hand’s …..use a pillow as if in a pillow fight no brusies but couple wacks you will get your point across.and no harm done.

ooo sorry and yes i do believe he’s sorry not because of what he did but because how he did it and whats the outcome but if he had a chance to change something he would have grabbed a pillow when they got home …thats about it cause that was some pent up anger that we was holding in for a long time and he had to let her know how he felt inside …but he shouldnt have done it with his hands ..he should have used emotional damage or verbal i like verbal better myself anyway

Chris Brown doesn’t give a f$%k about all this.
We all know the American public is lazy and forgetful. In a week everyone will forget this happened and they’ll move on to the next TMZ topic of the week. We’re all too lazy to do something like boycott or set an example… I mean, who has the time or energy to write a letter to the local radio station (or record label)?
Chris Brown will go back to making his boring music and continue to rake in millions of $$$ and the American public will continue getting fat while listening to pop music.
