Country Music Awards Fans Vote, Get Free Downloads
March 4th, 2008 by KarenAlthough the Academy of Country Music doesn’t present its 43rd annual batch of awards until May 18, 2008, the list of nominees was released today.
Starting May 5, country fans will be able to vote online for the Entertainer of the Year award, although full details have not been released at this time.
Kenny Chesney earned the most nods with 11 ACM nominations for his latest album Just Who I Am: Poets & Pirates.
Big & Rich, Brad Paisley and Sugarland also accumulated numerous nominations, as did newcomer Taylor Swift.
Usually an awards show favorite, American Idol Carrie Underwood scored just one nomination this year, as did Kellie Pickler and Kelly Clarkson for her duet with Reba McIntyre on “Because of You.”
