Pearl Jam frontman Eddie Vedder swept through the West coast on a solo tour in April and is now poised to tour the East coast beginning August 1 in Boston, according to a Billboard.com report.
According to Billboard, in his West coast jaunt, Vedder performed a mixture of unfamiliar Pearl Jam songs with some covers and some of his tunes from the soundtrack to the Sean Penn-directed movie, “Into the Wild.”
Vedder just finished a brief-U.S. tour with Pearl Jam, which culminated on July 1 with a private benefit at New York’s Beacon Theatre for the Robin Hood Foundation. The event raised $3 million for the organization’s anti-poverty fight.
Pearl Jam has also begun work on its next studio album, which will reunite them with producer Brendan O’Brien for the first time since 1998’s album Yield.
