Last week Morrissey and Eric Clapton battled over the title of Too Old to Rock as the dissimilar British rockers each canceled shows for medical reasons. This week comes news of Elton John’s sidelining battle withthe flu and e.coli.
Currently there has been no word on whether it is seasonal flu or H1N1.
The singer, whose recent, somewhat controversial, attempt to adopt a child was denied by a court, was reportedly hospitalized and forced to cancel shows in England, Ireland and the United States.

AP reports that the 62-year-old star doing well and is slated to return to the stage with concerts alongside Billy Joel in California later this month.
