According to reports, it’s for sure”… Eric Clapton will play a show at the Shanghai Grand Stage (in Shanghai, China). As of now, the concert is to take place on January 20th ““ this will be the second show in which Chinese fans are treated to major rock superstars from the West. Clapton follows in the steps of the Rolling Stones who rocked out in April of 2006. Other stars to rock out in China were the Black Eyed Peas. Jay-Z would’ve been glad to play a show as well, but he was denied permission due to explicit lyrics.
However, bringing the music to the far reaches of the world is no cheap thrill. Tickets prices range from $38 (for the nosebleed balcony) up to $230 for stage-side seats where one might be lucky enough to have Eric Clapton sweat on them. Ultimately though, after the show sells out, it’s likely that people might see tickets for over $1,000 on various auction sites.

I can't believe Jay-Z got denied. These censors need to chill out. Next thing you know, they'll be canceling shows on Marilyn Manson and Britney Spears.
