Hey, remember ’90s indie rock?
If you do, or, if you’re just in the mood for some old school indie-rock action, head over to South Street Seaport (map) tonight (Friday, July 17) ’round 6 p.m. and catch up with Merge Records founders/indie icons, Superchunk. Versus opens.
Merge Records is also hosting a massive music festival called XX Merge in celebration of the label’s 20th anniversary. The show will include several days filled with performances by the likes of Spoon, Superchunk and M.Ward (Zooey Deschanel’s partner in She & Him). There is also a new book about the label, Our Noise: The Story of Merge Records.
