Hey, remember ’90s indie rock?

If you do, or, if you’re just in the mood for some old school indie-rock action, head over to South Street Seaport (map) tonight (Friday, July 17) ’round 6 p.m. and catch up with Merge Records founders/indie icons, Superchunk. Versus opens.

Merge Records is also hosting a massive music festival called XX Merge in celebration of the label’s 20^th anniversary. The show will include several days filled with performances by the likes of Spoon, Superchunk and M.Ward (Zooey Deschanel’s partner in She & Him). There is also a new book about the label, Our Noise: The Story of Merge Records.
