Garth Brooks is throwing his cowboy hat back in the ring.
The country singer is coming out of retirement to play the Encore Theater at the Wynn Las Vegas resort for fifteen weeks a year over the next five years, according to an Associated Press report.
Brooks recently played a private show at the resort especially for Steve Wynn and his closest friends, (including Bette Midler), and afterward the hotel impresario made a pitch for the entertainer to come back. “I told him he couldn’t afford me,” Brooks was quoted as saying. “I was wrong. Wow.”
As part of the deal, Brooks will get a private jet that will allow him maximum time at home with his three teenage daughters. Brooks can hop on the plane and play gigs Friday, Saturday and Sunday, then return home in time to take his kids to school like usual Monday mornings.
Brooks starts his new job on December 11.

It sounds like he's only doing this for the money---like he doesn't have enough already! (He doesn't mention doing it for "the music" or "the fans"...) Wonder if he thinks this'll be as good as Elvis's Vegas comeback? (It won't!)

Doing it for the money? Duh! Does he love performing? Duh! Does he love his kids? Duh! Is the real problem MusicVixen, that you don’t have his money? Why do you care about what he and other people do with their money? Why do you care how much they have? How unhappy you must be. I feel for you.
