Happy Birthday: Michael Jackson Burial Delayed Until September

Earlier this week, Michael Jackson’s family announced somewhat morbid plans to lay the late entertainer to rest on August 29, the date of his 51^st birthday.

We have to say, as birthday presents go, the interment of a two-month-old corpse ranks even lower than mismatched homemade socks, so news of plans to change to date of Jackson’s burial seems like a good idea…except that the new date isn’t sooner, it’s later.

So, if you’re an MJ superfan planning some sort of whacked out birthday/funeral memorial at Chuck E. Cheese, update your calendar: Jackson is now scheduled to be buried on September 6 (2009, we hope).

AP reports that Jackson will be interred in The Great Mausoleum at Forest Lawn-Glendale outside of Los Angeles.
