Allison Iraheta, the 17 year-old high school student who came in fourth on American Idol this season, has scored a record deal with 19 Recordings, the company affiliated with the top-rated reality show, according to an Associated Press report.
Iraheta joins “American Idol” winner Kris Allen and runner-up Adam Lambert on the label, which is run by “Idol” creator Simon Fuller.
Fuller said that Iraheta, who hails from the Los Angeles suburb of Downey, is one of the most talented teenagers he has ever discovered on the show. The daughter of Salvadoran immigrants, Iraheta, for her part, has said she dreamed of being on American Idol since she was nine.
Before their albums are released in the fall, Allen, Lambert and Iraheta will reunite with their castmates on the annual “American Idol” tour, which kicks off July 5 in Portland, Oregon. Iraheta’s album will be released off Jive Records, which is owned by Sony. No recording plans have yet been announced for third place finisher, Danny Gokey.

It’s sort of surprising that Danny Gokey doesn’t have an album deal yet. Then again, maybe he should just get an endorsement deal with Lenscrafters or something (he used to wear a different pair of glasses on every episode).

I would love to see Adam and Allison do a CD together. I love them both!!! Together they are fabulous!!! Both of them are unstoppable!!! Adam, what can I say………..THE NEW LEGEND!!!!

I agree: Adam is the NEW LEGEND!! He is the most exciting new singer/entertainer in years. Not to mention he is drop-dead gorgeous!!! Allison was my second favorite on the show:I play “Slow Ride,” her duet with Adam, all the time: It’s on my Adam collection. I will buy her CD also. I’m happy for Kris, but I won’t be buying his recording(s).

Wow!! For me is really amazing that Allisson has a recording deal she really deserve it and also Adam I love them both!! the best of American Idol season 8 are Alisson & Adam they rocks. So I’m gonna buy Allison and Adam Album!! I know that they gonna be a excellent artist!!
