Despite her recent family tragedy, singer/actress Jennifer Hudson has given her blessing to the Gap to move ahead with a holiday ad campaign featuring her, according to an E-Online report.
Hudson was given the option to back out, according to Gap spokesperson Olive Doyne. “She said she wanted to be a part of it and that we should move forward,” Doyne says. The ad features a photo of a smiling Hudson in a red sweater from the Gap and has the tagline, “Shine Your Own Star.” The photo was shot back in July in New York City by shutterbug Michael Thompson.
The ad campaign, which also uses other celebrities including Jason Bateman and Mary-Louise Parker, can be seen in newspapers and magazines and on billboards in New York and Los Angeles.

This has been such a tragic time for Jennifer Hudson and her family. Going back to work might help her feel better, but let's hope the media continues to give her privacy during this difficult time.
