Above: So much better than the real thing, don’t you think?
Just when you thought “Weird” Al Yankovic had cornered the market on wacky versions of contemporary pop songs, along comes…a Ukrainian polka band.
This colorful group didn’t write parody lyrics to this song (c’mon, making a Katy Perry song sound sillier would be difficult), but they did rework Perry’s dance-pop hit “Hot’n'Cold” into a classic polka, complete with accordion.
We’re sure this probably started as a joke, but we think it’s actually much, much better than the original. What do you think?
Maybe Perry should start doing polka music. Wonder if polka could make Lady GaGa sound good? Maybe that’s asking too much.
