A 53-year-old man charged with attempting to stalk Miley Cyrus is due back in court on Tybee Island, Georgia, this afternoon, where the Hannah Montana star just completed shooting a movie, according to an Associated Press report.
According to the AP, Mark McLeod is scheduled to appear in court for a preliminary hearing after being held at the Chatham County jail on misdemeanor charges of attempted stalking, disorderly conduct and obstruction of a police officer.
Police said that McLeod twice came to this tiny island off the coast of Georgia in June, attempting to breach a security perimeter set up around the movie set. He told security that he was secretly engaged to marry Cyrus.
Cyrus finished filming the movie “The Last Song” on Tybee Island last week.
