Enduring ’80s rock band Bon Jovi announced this week that they will be going on two-year world tour in support of their 11th studio album, The Circle, due to hit stores November 12.

The Grammy-award winning band, one of the top five touring acts worldwide in 2008, will perform 135 shows in 30 countries starting in Seattle, Washington, in February 2010, according to Reuters.

The tour includes a “residency” at London’s O2 arena, a trend which was started by Prince, who played 21 nights at the O2 in 2007, and was supposed to have continued with Michael Jackson, but for his tragic death. Bon Jovi is expected to play at least five dates in London.

In their storied rock career, Bon Jovi has sold more than 120 million albums worldwide and performed live for more than 34 million fans around the globe. Tickets for the New Jersey outfit’s latest trek will go on sale November 9.

People usually seem embarrassed to admit they like Bon Jovi, but the band has sold 120 million albums, so maybe they're doing something right after all!

Embarrassed to say I like Bon Jovi?….you’ve got to be kidding! Nor am I embarrassed to say I love Barbra Streisand, the ballet, Josh Groban, or any other true artist. Bon Jovi is just a fantastic band that writes songs that move us. The true Bon Jovi fan knows the range of music this band has produced. Their concerts are so much fun! For those who have never seen a Bon Jovi concert, try to catch the “Circle” tour next year…..believe me, a Bon Jovi concert is money well spent. I also truly admire their story of talent, desire and hard work. I respect the band members in many other ways as well, including their ability to rise above the strife they have encountered. I hope they have many more great years ahead.
