So, writing about music means that we end up on many bands’ mailing lists. Periodically, we clean out the spam folder and take a look at what these bands are up to.

However, after opening today’s email from Arizona rock staples the Supersuckers, we’re not sure we want to open our email anymore, ever. We would’ve almost preferred a computer-eating super virus instead of this

Typically, updates from bands consist of info about upcoming tours and albums, but Supersuckers frontman Eddie Spaghetti may  have crossed the line when he decided to send out photos of his brand new baby (born on 9/9/09).

That’s fine. Babies. Dogs. Photos. Fine. Whatever.

But what is not cool is the bloody photo of Jr. being pulled out of mamma’s tattooed belly.

(Don’t believe us? See it here, not recommended for the squeamish…)

The baby is allegedly named Elvis Glo Danger Daly. We say “allegedly” because this band usually has a sense of humor and we really hope that nobody would actually give their little girl a name like this.

Then again, we also hoped we’d never have to see a rock’n'roll c-section, so, there you go.

The Supersuckers are a tour trail institution, a roadworn rock’n'roll holdover from the glory days of Sub Pop records (before it devoted itself almost entirely to sensitive indie types and paychecks). In 1999, the band released a greatest hits collection modestly titled How the Supersuckers Became the Greatest Rock and Roll Band in the World and in addition to playing silly rock songs about sex, drugs, rock’n'roll and the devil all around the world, they’ve served as the backing band for country legend Willie Nelson.

BELOW: We’re not sure we can listen to ‘em anymore, but you can check out a classic Supersuckers track below, the fittingly titled “Born with a Tail.”
