Is there a full moon tonight? For some reason, every story we’ve read this morning seems really weird. Hopefully, it’s not going to be one of those bizarro days that makes us wish we’d just stayed in bed hoping someone would show up to deliver french toast or something. Anyway, here’s a quick look at what’s up this morning, so far…

First, life really does imitate art. Either that, or Rolling Stone is getting even lazier than we thought.

This is a fake headline from the Onion published 8/8/08: Soundgarden Inadvertently Reunites At Area Cinnabon

This is a real headline from today’s Rolling Stone: Soundgarden Nearly Reunite At Tom Morello Justice Tour Stop in Seattle

Spooky.

Second, Dolly Parton is not a lesbian. (Which is funny, since she looks like a drag queen. Seriously, she rocks though.) She did get cut from the new Hannah Montana movie though.

Third, ok, this isn’t really about music, but it still bothers us that Hollywood is about to ruin another classic.

The Farrelly Brothers are reviving the Three Stooges with a new movie starring Jim Carrey (Curly), Sean Penn (Larry) and, possibly, Benicio del Toro (Moe). Seriously? SERIOUSLY?! This is the stupidest thing we’ve heard since news broke that U2 is writing a Spiderman musical for Broadway. According to the Indie Film site, the Farrellys are describing the film as dumb, dumber and dumbest. Ugh.

We’re just hoping Hollywood keeps its filthy paws off of Laurel and Hardy, and Abbott and Costello. C’mon, you know the studio execs would love to remake these movies with George Clooney, Don Cheadle, Jack Black, Ben Stiller or Robert Downey, Jr. or something stupid like that. Enough already!

What’s the strangest news you’ve read or heard today?
