The Red Hot Chili Peppers are planning on spicing things up a bit this fall by going into the studio to record some new songs, according to a report on RollingStone.com

“We imposed a two-year hiatus, which we felt we needed, then we went back to the roundtable and the decision was, ‘Let’s do this,” bassist Flea explained. “After being kind of burnt at the end of our last tour, I feel major enthusiasm and vigor,” he said.

There’s no word yet on when a new Peppers album will come out, according to RollingStone. When it’s issued, it will be the first release for the group since 2006’s double-platinum Stadium Arcadium. According to the report, chances are Rick Rubin will reprise his role as producer on any new album.

Not that the members of the Peppers haven’t been keeping busy. Since their last outing, Chad Smith joined the all-star group Chickenfoot, frontman Anthony Kiedis developed a series for HBO and Flea enrolled at USC to study music theory.

How does this band manage to keep getting worse and worse? Seriously, "Snow (Hey Oh)" might be one of the most obnoxious songs ever written.

music vixen be quiet cuz noone wants to listen to your nonsense, snow was an incredibly written song and red hot chili peppers have wrote some of the most powerful and unique music of the last 20 years so why don’t you keep your lame opinion to yourself and go listen to some miley cyrus or somethin you probably like.
