ABOVE: Newly-single Joe Jonas dances to Beyonce’s “Single Ladies,” while wearing some sort of unitard. Yes, it’s ok to laugh. The Jonas Brothers host the 2009 Teen Choice Awards tonight on Fox.
So, the 2009 Teen Choice Awards were handed out Sunday night, but the TV broadcast of the ceremony doesn’t air until tonight (Monday).
Basically, this means that by the time the show airs, everyone will already know who won/lost. So, if you memorize the winners now, you can amaze your friends with your psychic ability to predict winners during the show. Or not.
Doesn’t this sort of ruin some of the surprise?
Maybe the awards part of the show isn’t as important as the performances?
Anyway, if you’re too impatient to wait for the broadcast this evening, we’ve got the scoop on who took home the night’s big prizes–and they are big prizes: Teen Choice winners are given trophy surfboards.
Of course, if you want to gawk at the Jonas Brothers, the hosts of this year’s ceremony, you’ll have to tune in to Fox and check out the show.
According to the awards show’s official website, “TEEN CHOICE celebrates the hottest teen icons in film, television, music, sports and fashion…
Find out who came out on top this year, below.
- 1Twilight
ABOVE: Twilight Soundtrack stars Muse performing “Supermassive Black Hole.”
The night’s big winner, Twilight took home 11 trophies (it was nominated for 12), including Robert Pattinson’s Choice Male Hottie Win.
Ah, a prestigious prize, indeed.
Pattinson also scored a win in the Movie Actor: Drama category (fittingly, co-star Kristen Stewart won Choice Movie Actress: Drama), and Twilight took home awards for Choice Movie, Choice Romance, Choice Drama, Choice Rumble, Choice Liplock and Choice Soundtrack (get info on the Twilight New Moon Soundtrack).
(A Yahoo! photo of Twilight co-stars Pattinson, Kellan Lutz and Jackson Rathbone shows the trio looking a bit like the haggard ghosts of Jonas Brothers future. Kristen Stewart just looks kinda half-baked, as usual.)
- 2Jonas Brothers

ABOVE: This year, Teen Choice honored Britney for her, “extraordinary contributions to the music industry.” Um, ok. Sure.
It’s been a wild few years from Britney, from a shaved head to a handful of hospital visits, but the former teen star is back on top with a new album, Circus, a controversial single, “If You Seek Amy,” (is it really that dirty?)and a big win for Ultimate Choice Award in honor of, “her extraordinary contributions to the music industry.” Music industry? Maybe not. Tabloid industry? Absolutely.

ABOVE: A live performance of the Jonas Brothers’ latest hit, “Paranoid.” Unfortunately, it is not a cover of the Black Sabbath song of the same name. Bummer.
The hosts of this year’s show, the Jonas Brothers, snagged nine Teen Choice awards nominations for Choice Move: Music/Dance, Choice TV Actor: Comedy, Choice TV: Breakout Show, Choice Music: Love Song, Choice Red Carpet Icon: Male, Choice Music: Album (Group), Choice Tour, Choice Soundtrack and Choice Male Hottie.
We won’t spoil all of the surprise, but the boys lost at least two of those prizes to Twilight. Wonder if this will inspire the JoBros to release a more Gothy album next year?
