Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band will perform an entire album from their back catalog each night of the five-night run at Giants Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey, in October.

The Boss will play “Born to Run” and “Born in the U.S.A.” twice each, and “Darkness on the Edge of Town” the remaining night, according to Billboard. Springsteen tested a full-album performance earlier in the tour, playing “Born to Run” from start to finish in Chicago on September 20.

Chicago convinced us that this was really worth doing,” Springsteen’s manager Jon Landau told Billboard. “The audience was so supportive of the concept that it convinced us to go ahead with this at Giants Stadium.”

Springsteen and friends are in the middle of a fall tour that wraps November 22 in Buffalo, New York. In addition to five shows at Giants Stadium, the group is also scheduled to perform at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame 25th anniversary concert to be held in New York City’s Madison Square Garden on October 29.

Do fans know in advance which album they're buying tickets for? This kind of takes away some of the thrill of seeing a concert and wondering which song will be next though. It seems more like a play than a concert.
