So, sit back and enjoy the music as we take a look at some of our favorite country music from 2007. Check back for future music countdowns and more free country music downloads!

Today’s theme for our Favorite Five is:
Top Country Songs by New Artists:

5. Carrie Underwood“Before He Cheats”
Unless you’ve been in a cave without an iPod, odds are you’re already very familiar with this track. As country music lyrics go, it’s a little vicious, with the protagonist smashing her boyfriend’s car…even though she’s not really sure if he’s cheating on her.

4. Kellie Pickler“Red High Heels”
She didn’t win on American Idol, but this endearingly flaky singer is having better luck with country music.

3. Little Big Town—“I’m With the Band”

2. Josh Turner—“Would You Go With Me”
With a deep voice many compare to Johnny Cash, Josh Turner is topping the country charts and stealing girls’ hearts with songs like “Your Man.”

1. Taylor Swift“Tim McGraw”
It’s been a smash year for this young country singer. Barely 18, she’s already won a ton of awards, had a hit album, and peformed her hit song “Tim McGraw” on tour with Faith Hill and Tim McGraw. She was in a car accident earlier this week, but a fender bender isn’t enough to stop this rising star.
