ABOVE: The Twilight New Moon trailer.
It looks like some big changes are going to hit the cast of Twilight: Eclipse, just before the third installment starts filming (Rachelle Lefevre, the actress portraying villainess, Victoria, is reportedly out).
One thing at a time though! The second film in the series, Twilight: New Moon, isn’t even in theatres yet–so it’s really too soon to start speculating about Twilight Eclipse or the Twilight Eclipse soundtrack.
(BTW: Is it just us, or does “Twilight: Eclipse” sound like a flavor of minty-fresh chewing gum, or some gross energy drink? Maybe it should be garlic-flavored, y’know, to keep vampires away…)
At least the Twilight New Moon soundtrack is slowly starting shape up.
Artists currently confirmed to join the soundtrack include Muse, Band of Skulls and Radiohead’s Thom Yorke, with Kings of Leon and Bon Iver rumored to be involved, too. Paramore was tapped to contribute two songs to the first soundtrack, but the band is apparently too busy, or off hiding in a cave or something, this time around.
Maybe the soundtrack should include some Joan Jett, since Twilight star Kristen Stewart is preparing to star in a movie about Jett’s teen girl rock band, the Runaways? Maybe not.
Radiohead’s music previously appeared in the hit vampire movie series, when “15 Step” played during the first film’s closing credits.
We think it’d be cool if Radiohead’s Yorke wrote a song especially about vampires or werewolves for the flick, but he’ll probably turn up with something more abstract than that.
Then again, he could just cover Bauhaus’s “Bela Lugosi’s Dead” or Warren Zevon’s “Werewolves of London,” instead.
Which bands would you like to hear on the next Twilight Soundtrack?
Got a favorite vampire-related song?
Tell us about it!

I’m just glad the movie isn’t using lame songs like Evanescence’s “Bring Me to Life”—way too predictable!

I would love to hear Paramore’s “Emergency” on the album. I think an acoustic version would be fitting. It’s sad to hear they won’t be joining. After the first movie was released, it was said Paramore would remain the “house band” for the upcoming movies.

In my opinion, Imogen Heap should be on the soundtrack. But what do I know?
Karen added...
That’s true.
I think she just released a new album, too.
Or maybe some PJ Harvey?

Evanescense should do a soundtrack!
Karen added...
Wasn’t Evanescence already on a bunch of soundtracks?
Or maybe it was just Spiderman…
Anyway, if you like Evanescence, maybe you’ll like We are the Fallen–it’s the musicians from Ev. with a new singer (ex-American Idol contestant).

I’d love to hear a Rob Thomas song. Maybe the new “Her Diamonds”. Or “Problem Girl”. Or “Still Ain’t Over You”. His lyrics are deep and the music can be haunting.

I think that The song Tears Don’t Fall by: Bullet For My Valentine should be on there. It would be a great song to play when Edward leaves or when Bella thinks about him.

I think thay’ll be a better choise for the scene, but for the rest of the movie,i’m sick of hearing just romantic songs for it,i’d like a kick ass heavy song, but that’s just my opinion,ja

I think H.I.M’s Razorblade Romance album has a ton of songs that could be on the soundtrack that are awesome!!! They have a dark outlook on love and how twisted it can be sometimes

The Scientist by Coldplay SHOULD be one of the soundtracks..
“Tell me you love me, come back and haunt me” part fits..
And ‘A Beautiful Lie’ by 30 Seconds to Mars could be the soundtrck too..
Edward lied to Bella that he doesn’t want her anymore.
Pieces by Sum 41 could also be one of the sountracks.
I have more but I think there would be too much.. so
If you wanna know why I chose them.. read the lyrics’.

I think Shinedown “If You Only Knew” would be perfect!
If you only knew
I’m hanging by a thread
The web I spin for you
If you only knew
I’d sacrifice my beating
Heart before I lose you
I still hold onto the letters
You returned
I swear I’ve lived and learned
[Chorus]
It’s 4:03 and I can’t sleep
Without you next to me I
Toss and turn like the sea
If I drown tonight, bring me
Back to life
Breathe your breath in me
The only thing that I still believe
In is you, if you only knew
If you only knew
How many times I counted
All the words that went wrong
If you only knew
How I refuse to let you go,
Even when you’re gone
I don’t regret any days I
Spent, nights we shared,
Or letters that I sent

Unkle Bob’s Swan should be the post breakup song, with a montage of Bella going through the October - February in her zombie mode. The lyrics are perfect!
By my side
You’ll never be
By my side
You’ll never be
Cause I’m fake at the seams
I’m lost in my dreams
And I
I want you to know that I can’t let you go
And you’re never coming home again
And you’re never coming home again
By my side
You’ll never be
By my side
You’ll never be
You’ll never be
I wanted to tell you I’d changed
I wanted to tell you that things would be different this time
I see you
You see me
Differently
I see you
You see me
Differently
You tell me that you love me but you never want to see me again (x4)

Ahn Trio “All I Want”, Digital Summer “Suffocate”, Juliet Turner “Broken Things”, Anathema “One Last Goodbye”; I think these are awesome songs and would fit the story very well, in one way or another. Also, I think Evanescence’s “Haunted” would go very well.

Vampire by People in Planes - great song.
Who is the fly in your champagne
Whose got the body and whose got the brain
I’ll take your blood and I’ll kill my pain
You are the one that I desire, you are the dark I’m the vampire (vampire)
Who is the spy in your campaign
Is it the wife or is it your advisor
I wanna suck the blood from their veins
You are the one that I despise, you are the light I’m the vampire (vampire)
Oh well you know you’ll never find an easy way
Oh bet you know wanna ride the new wave yeah
Who is the fly in your champagne
Whose got the body and whose got the brain
Let me taste your blood cause I’m in pain
You are the one that I desire, you are the dark Im the vampire (vampire)
Women and children all disclaim
You’re not the wiser, you’re not to blame
Stick ‘em in a casket next to mine
Then we will see who is alive
Then we will see the vampire (vampire)
Oh well you know you’ll never find an easy way
It’s in your head
The devil says when it’s over (over)
You sound like him
Its got me ’till
Now it’s over
Yeah it’s over yeah
Who is the fly in your champagne
Whose got the body and whose got the brain
I’ll take your blood and I’ll kill my pain
You are the dark I’m the vampire
