Yes, it’s true. Whitney Houston is scraping the bottom of the barrel. She currently owes the Speed of Sound approximately $200,000. And, that’s obviously $200,000 more than she can afford to pay considering she’s going to auction off a large chunk of her celebrity junk.
Whitney is auctioning off everything from a vintage barber chair and a grand piano to microphones, a forklift, and Whitney’s designer clothes, in hopes of paying off Speed of Sound. One may have thought that Whitney would’ve learned her lesson after almost losing her 10-acre estate (no thanks to $83,000 in unpaid taxes and approximately $1,000,000 on her mortgage). However, it’s clear that Whitney is living on the edge.
According to reports, all the equipment, materials, and clothing to be sold have been cleaned up and tested. Potential buyers at the Whitney Houston auction will be happy to know that everything works.
On the flipside, a statement from Whitney’s group has expressed that the auction is being held to get rid of leftover costumes and equipment ““ and not a desperate attempt to make right on a debt.

Whitney was one of the greats. These dire times are just evidence of what a relationship with a loser like Bobby Brown can do to a woman. I hope Whitney is able to clean herself up and get back on her feet.
