ABOVE: No “Pleasant Valley Sunday” for Monkees drummer Mickey Dolenz this weekend (bad joke, sorry): The Monkees’ singer/drummer’s wife was arrested in NYC Friday morning. Which other rocker’s wife has been in similar trouble recently? Find out below.

Being the wife of a rockstar might be fast-paced and glamorous for some, but for the wife of Monkees star Mickey Dolenz, the good times are on hold: She was arrested Friday in NYC.

Apparently, the days of rock’n'roll stars being tangled up in webs of illicit drugs and wild activity are over, the former flight attendant is in trouble for something a little more commonplace in our post-Bernie Madoff world: real estate fraud.

Donna Quinter is being accused of manipulating and defrauding the state of New York by illegally receiving $136,866 in government rental subsidies for an apartment on Manhattan’s Upper East Side, AP reports. The subsidy system is meant to offer reduced-cost housing payments to people in need of assistance.

Quinter does not meet the eligibility requirements in place for the subsidization.

Quinter, 54, and Dolenz, 64, married in 2002. Dolenz has not been implicated in this arrest. AP reports that the couple lives in an exclusive community in California. Details on this case are still developing.

A similar story unfolded in 2007, when the ex-wife of Rolling Stones leader Mick Jagger, Bianca Jagger, was evicted from her posh Park Avenue apartment. She had been getting the $8k a month pad for half price thanks to rent control–a program she was benefiting from fraudulently because she was only in the US on a temporary visa.
