Oh, Adam Lambert, what are we going to do with you?
This spotlight-stealing American Idol #2 finisher is making a splash even before his debut album hits shelves, thanks to an early preview of the artwork for his debut album, For Your Entertainment.
The album’s spacey, blue-haired cover photo is seemingly inspired by failed ’70s glam rocker Jobriath and the psychedelic ’70s U.F.O. TV series. (The only thing missing from this goofy moon age daydream is Continue reading »
"Not true. The video was debued on MySpace Music and AdamOfficial told us it was coming before it was release. Really well done video and Adam is so..."
A clip from Adam Lambert’s video for the tune “Time for Miracles” recently leaked online and is now available at Lambert’s MySpace video page (Watch it, below).
According to a report on RollingStone.com, the video was supposed to have been unveiled in movie theaters prior to Michael Jackson’s This Is It starting October 28th, but Continue reading »
In the ’90s, Hollywood’s go-to group for over-the-top melodramatic power-ballads was Aerosmith (think, “I Don’t Want to Miss a Thing” from Armageddon).
With his first post-American Idol foray back into the spotlight, runner-up Adam Lambert seems to be taking aim for Aerosmith’s throne—and he just might get it.
As celebrities such as Angelina Jolie and Madonna continue to add adopted children to their families rapidly, one celebrity is being forbidden to adopt a child in need–because he is gay.
AP reports that officials in Ukraine have denied British pop star Elton John’s request to adopt an HIV- positive child, in part because he is a homosexual. Ukrainian law does not recognize same-sex unions as legal marriages. John is therefore considered a single parent and thus ineligible to adopt a child.
Further complicating matters, the age difference between a child and adoptive parent may not exceed 45 years. John, 62, is nearly 60 years older than the child in question.
It remains to be seen whether or not John and his partner will attempt to challenge the ruling in this case.
John and his partner, David Furnish, entered into a civil union in 2005. Although he has no biological children, John is the godfather of ten children, including Sean Lennon (son of the Beatles’ John Lennon), and Posh Spice’s sons Brooklyn and Romeo Beckham.

Adam Lambert fans pay heed-one of the American Idol runner-up’s first post Idol endeavors will be a cut featured on the soundtrack to the apocalyptic movie “2012,” which hits theaters November 13, according to a report on RollingStone.com.
It was actually Queen guitarist Brian May who spilled the beans on Lambert in his blog. “I have to say I was completely blown away… it’s truly sensational,” May wrote after hearing the 2012 track. “In fact it’s so obviously a number one smash, any bookie would be mad to take bets on it.”
Lambert previously impressed May when the rocker performed with Queen during the Season Eight finale of American Idol. After the show, rumors began circulating that May would recruit Lambert to be Queen’s new vocalist after the exit of Paul Rodgers, but May put an end to the speculation, saying that choosing a new frontman would take time.
Lambert’s debut album is scheduled to come out in November as well.

Following up on the success of his post-American Idol debut album, Chris Daughtry and his eponymous band are back for a second shot at the spotlight–and they’re bringing that annoying guy from Nickelback with them.
For whatever it’s worth, Chris Daughtry is actually a better singer than Nickelback’s Chad Kroeger.
Considering the fact that Daughtry’s vocals could often be mistaken for Nickelback karaoke, pairing him with Kroeger is redundant, but it also means that the song they co-wrote, “No Surprise,” (listen below) is an easy fit with Continue reading »

ABOVE:Too strange for words: an Indian tribute to Michael Jackson’s “Thriller” video. (There’s also a version with made-up English subtitles–but it’s not a translation, it’s a parody…of a parody.Yup.)
When Michael Jackson first released his film-like, 14-minute-long, “Thriller” music video, it was a smash hit.
While MJ has passed on, the dancing zombies will always be with us, thanks to an endless stream of tributes to this iconic 1983 music video.
The latest “Thriller”-style video to grab our attention (and the attention of tons of YouTubers) is for an Indian song. The wild video is almost too strange to explain, so just check it out above and witness the warped Bollywood zombie weirdness for yourself.
If you can’t get enough “Thriller” tributes, you’ll also want to check out 30 Rock star/former SNL cast member Tracy Morgan’s “Thriller” parody, “Werewolf Bar Mitzvah,” as well as, the classic reenactment the “Thriller” video performed by inmates in a Philippine prison (video below).
Although they didn’t do the full “Thriller” routine, there were some interesting performances during American Idol’s Michael Jackson Tribute (it’s worth checking out, just to see why the Adam Lambert/Kris Allen fans are still arguing over the performances).

ABOVE: Idol Winner Kris Allen Performs Jackson’s “Remember the Time.”
In an effort to pay final tribute to the King of Pop, and make another buck on commercial sales, Fox is airing a special encore presentation/rerun of American Idol Season 8’s Michael Jackson night special.Odds are the snarky comments from the judges will be edited out of this airing of the show.
Idol fans may recall that during the MJ show, blind pianist/former judges’ fave Scott MacIntyre performed an obscure Michael Jackson number called, “Keep the Faith.” He said he picked the song because he wanted to do something artistic, which caused Simon to bluntly point out that, “It is fine being artistic, just not on this show.”
Good point, Simon. This is glorified karaoke, afterall. While the performances were met with mixed reviews by the judges, looking back at this performance special could be an interesting chance for fans to compare the performances of Idol winner Kris Allen and runner-up Adam Lambert.
The fact that Lambert is the runner-up is often overlooked, as his outgoing persona tends to overshadow Allen. However, word has recently surfaced that the two musical friends have expressed interest in recording together. Maybe they’ll make a great duo.American Idol’s tribute to Michael Jackson airs Monday, June 29 check local listings for times.
