Although the complete details of an extensive investigation into Michael Jackson’s June 25 death being conducted by the L.A. County coroner’s office are still under wraps, reports have been released indicating that, at the time of his death, Jackson’s blood contained “lethal levels” of a drug, propofol, typically used as an anesthetic during medical procedures.
According to the Los Angeles Times, Jackson’s personal physician, Conrad Murray, has admitted to administering propofol-along with several other very potent drugs-to Jackson as a sleep aid in the past. Complicating matters is the fact that Jackson was also receiving various prescription drugs from an unknown number of other doctors.
Details of this investigation are developing.
