Internet singing spectacle Susan Boyle was a no show last night, but intends to rejoin the “Britain’s Got Talent” tour tonight, according to an Associated Press report.

According to the AP, a spokeswoman for the show said that the 48-year-old Scottish singer took a break yesterday, but is scheduled to perform in Glasgow on Monday night. “She had one rest day, but she will be back on stage tonight,” the spokeswoman was quoted as saying, adding that she expected Boyle to take part in the rest of the tour, which runs until early July.

Boyle became a household name when her first appearance on “Britain’s Got Talent” was seen by millions on YouTube. However, the church volunteer was hospitalized for “exhaustion” after coming in second place in the competition, leading many to speculate on her mental fitness to be a professional singer.

Boyle has received standing ovations at other stops on the “Britain’s Got Talent” tour in Birmingham and Sheffield, England.

"Glad to see that she is doing better and I wish her all the happiness she deserves in her career. I only caught a glimpse of her musical performance..."

The brother of “Britain’s Got Talent” contestant Susan Boyle said his sister has checked out of a mental health clinic and is doing fine, according to an Associated Press report.

Gerry Boyle told a British television station today that his sister has been released from the London clinic. She was admitted Sunday, after coming in second place in the “Britain’s Got Talent” television show. He said his sister suffered from an anxiety attack but now seems “a lot more like herself.”

Boyle further told GMTV that his sister is looking forward to working with Simon Cowell, who signed the singer to his record label and is confident she’ll have a successful recording career.

In eight weeks, the frumpy Boyle went from the quiet life of a church volunteer in a small town in Scotland to global fame, thanks to a performance on “Britain’s Got Talent” that stunned the world for its beauty and was downloaded on YouTube about 200 million times.

Internet singing sensation Susan Boyle suffered an emotional breakdown over the weekend after her second place finish in “Britain’s Got Talent” and is recuperating at a British clinic, according to a Reuters report.

According to Reuters, a police spokesman confirmed that officers had been called to a London hotel “to doctors attending a woman under the mental health act.”

Frumpy and unglamorous, Boyle was an unlikely star, but had to bear the cross of fame after her rendition of “I Dreamed a Dream” from “Les Miserables” was viewed nearly 200 million times on YouTube, and predictions came that she was going to be an international superstar.

At first, Boyle seemed like she was handling the attention well, but in recent days reports in the British tabloids surfaced that alleged she was behaving in an emotional unstable ways in public.

Despite the recent events, judge Simon Cowell’s Synco record label is expected to sign Boyle up for an album.

A judge for the “Britain’s Got Talent” television program told a British newspaper that singer Susan Boyle briefly considered pulling out of this weekend’s final because the pressure was finally getting to her, according to an Associated Press report.

Judge Piers Morgan, who Boyle supposedly has a crush on, is defending the Internet singing sensation - the favorite to win the talent show competition on Sunday. Morgan said on his blog that Boyle’s been in a “flood of tears.” He said she has even “fleetingly felt like quitting the show altogether.”

Boyle made headlines this week for allegedly throwing a hissy fit in a London bar when she saw Morgan praise her main competitor on the talent program-a 12 year-old boy. She also supposedly had a meltdown at a London hotel when she was taunted by hotel guests. Since these incidents, Boyle has gone into seclusion

American Idol judge Simon Cowell has predicted that Adam Lambert is going to win the Fox singing competition this year, according to an Associated Press report. Cowell made his remarks on yesterday’s episode of the Oprah Winfrey show, saying that Lambert is fearless, unique and “he’s got swagger.”

Winfrey also featured Scottish singing sensation Susan Boyle, who is competing on the UK equivalent of American Idol –Britain’s Got Talent.  Boyle told Winfrey she’s “loving every second” of her newfound celebrity. The 47-year-old spinster became famous after she shocked judges and the audience with her remarkable rendition of “I Dreamed a Dream” from the musical “Les Miserables.”

Cowell is a judge on Britain’s Got Talent as well as American Idol and also has his fingers in the financial pie of the winners of both competitions. He wished both Lambert and Boyle good luck.

Susan Boyle Undergoes Makeover

We knew it was only a matter of time.

According to an Associated Press report, Susan Boyle, who was recently discovered on the TV show “Britain’s Got Talent” and became a singing sensation overnight on the Internet, has undergone her first makeover.

According to the news service, Boyle, 47, had her graying, frizzy hair dyed chestnut brown and styled in what a British tabloid described as a 35-pound ($50) makeover. And instead of the frumpy dress she wore on”Britain’s Got Talent,” the Scottish singer was photographed wearing a stylish black leather jacket with what looked to be a Burberry scarf.

Of course, when Boyle was asked on Larry King Live a few days earlier if she would change her looks, her answer was “Why should I change?” Apparently, Boyle, or most likely a pack of newfound “advisors,” counseled her otherwise. Judges of “Britain’s Got Talent” will decide whether Boyle gets through to the next round on May 23.
